: I am currently tutoring an A Level student in English, and during our last tutorial, we reviewed Muir's poem about horses located in his school's anthology. My student is to compose an essay regarding this poem, and in order to be prepared, I have attempted to find this poem online. I have found several sites containing a poem by Edwin Muir titled "The Horses", but it is not the poem I reviewed with my student. Does anyone know of an earler version of this poem, which has an AA BB rhyme scheme, is about 16 lines (if I remember correctly), and does not include any military references. It is about a man basically lamenting the loss of his childhood through the use of horse imagery. I would appreciate help, a webpage, or even for someone to email me the poem. I would rather obtain it myself than have to ask the student to fax it. Thank you
