I came across this verse on the dedication page of "The Book of Modern English Poetry: 1830-1934." I haven't been able to identify the poem from which it comes.
"Dedicated to The Poets of All Ages and of All Lands,
'...Who heard the roar of mortal things
The God's immortal whisperings-
Saw the world-wonder rise and fall,
And knew that Beauty made it all.'"
Does anyone recognize this?
