HELLO EVERYONE, i need some istance. i am an undergrad at the University of Michigan, and I am a research istant for a faculty member in the English Department. Basically, my is to complie a list of as many elegies written by Americans during the 20th Century as I can. In particular, those elegies written directly to a dead person and those written in the last 20 years are important. Many have been written recently to mourn the loss of a person to AIDS or cancer for example, and those are the kinds of poems i need. I have done a great deal of library and Internet research; the library work has been successful, but the Inbternet work has been frustrating. So, I am asking anyone out there who can help me with the following to contact me at my personal e-mail address: -direct me to some sort of Internet site that deals with elegies spefically or any site that might help me actually -provide me with the names of poets and poems that are appropriate to my topic and a place to locate those poems and poets -direct me to a specific book that would ist me -anything else that you think would help would be greatly appreciated I desperately want to do well at this task, and I am trying to exhaust my resources. Anyone with any information, please contact me, and I really appreciate this. Have a great day! Sincerely, John Schietinger jschieti@umich.edu
