here yah go:
When I try to keep things in perspective, I remember that I griped about my old shoes until I saw a man with no feet.
I complained about my right hip that hurts, until I saw a man in a wheel chair.
I griped about the dirty air I breathe in Tokyo til I saw a man carrying around a breathing backpack, dragging a tank of air behind him.
I griped about our 35-year-old, shabby, three-story house-church-office with heavy tiles and rotting foundation and then I saw the Kobe earthquake where 85 percent of 5,000 died in houses just like ours.
I griped about the obnoxiously loud sounds of Tokyo until I saw two deaf people using sign language.
I griped about my right eye that has a floater in it until I saw a blind man with a white cane and a dog.
I griped about my crowded airplane seat until I heard about ValuJets crashing into the Florida everglades.
I griped about my own worn rug until I saw a picture of a Rwandan refugee sleeping in mud at a filthy camp.
I griped about my tooth aching until I saw a man put in his false teeth.
I griped about knocking my head on the low Japanese doorway until I saw 200 cardboard boxes with live men sleeping in them at the railway station.
I griped about no e-mail from the kids until I realized that my boys best friends parents would never hear from their son because he was killed in a traffic accident.
