: I'm struggling in finding a meaning to this poem. Can anyone help!!
isn't it the greatest poem ever?? i absolutely love it. as to it's meaning, well: the lovers have just split up, i guess, and he's trying to hide how much it has affected him - as men are wont to do... but he's sad about the demise of their relationship, so he says "i will welcome you back, if you come back" - 'from death to life thou might'st him yet recover', etc.
