In "Upon a Wasp Chilled with Cold", Taylor is comparing man's position to God as a wasp to nature - a wasp is puny as so is a man. He is saying that we as humans are puny and worthless. Like, the wasp was at the mercy of the wind if it were not for the sun. The Sun is similar to God. We just discussed this in English cl. I hope this helps!!!
