drink to me only with thine eyes
- some expression/recipocration of his love?
and i will pledge with mine
- and it will of coures be returned; a pledge
or leave a kiss within the cup
and i'll not ask for wine
- drunk on her
the thirst that from the soul doth rise
doth ask a drink divine
- because love is more divine than wine
but might i of love's nectar sip
i would not change for thine
- but still he would remain true to himself should he fall in love. or something like that.
